Company history

Explore the history of Transform Landscapes, charting our journey since 1988 from small beginnings to a multi-team, award-winning landscaping company.

Transform Landscapes has been creating and caring for gardens since 1988, when Founder Simon Gray first established the company from his home in Haslemere. What began as a small local service has grown into a leading landscaping business with more than 35 employees working across design, construction, maintenance and tree care.

As the company expanded, we moved from Simon’s home to Unicorn Trading Estate in 2005, before relocating to Penally Farm in Liphook in 2016. Today, this rural base provides the perfect hub from which we deliver services across Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and the wider South of England.

Our operations now include five dedicated construction teams, three garden maintenance teams, and several specialist tree teams undertaking both residential and commercial projects. The company is led by Managing Director Ben Clutterbuck, supported by Directors Craig Tate-Grimes, Glynn Bawden, Dave Read and Graham Tulloch, with Simon continuing his involvement as Founder.

Over the years, Transform Landscapes has been recognised for excellence within the industry, receiving BALI and APL awards and showcasing our craftsmanship through show gardens at prestigious events including the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and Goodwood Revival. These achievements underline our enduring passion for quality, creativity and professionalism in every project we deliver.
