About Nick Hart
Nick studied garden design at Middlesex University (in partnership with Capel Manor College) and joined Transform Landscapes in 2003. Since then Nick has worked on a diverse range of design projects including creating natural swimming pools, large country houses and small urban spaces in Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex.

Nick strongly believes in the need to marry his designs with the surrounding architecture and environment. He also aims to achieve sustainable design that nurture wildlife. Nick is a great listener and takes great care to ensure your garden design reflects your desired style and aspirations whilst meeting all your practical needs and budget.

One of Nicks highlights in his career was working with Painshill in Cobham to help restore the 18th century landscape garden created by the Hon. Charles Hamilton.

About Simon Gray
Simon developed an interest in gardening from a very early age and used to grow watercress and vegetables as a child. At the age of 17 he began his horticultural career working for George Baileys of Petersfield and then went onto to study at landscaping gardening at Merrist Wood.

With his many years of experience as a garden designer Simon strongly believes gardens should be thought about in their whole entity, not as parts. He says its like planning the interior design of a room – you look at it as a whole rather than in sections.

Simon's biggest inspiration is Gertrude Jekyll and her designs which capture the essence of English gentrification. He loves the fact that her designs were simple yet there was a free flow of colour without any formality. This is Simon's preferred style of planting as it creates a more relaxed environment.
